Alright, here's the analysis of JM1's graphics between the PS1 and the PC version. The PC version was screenshotted as is, while the PS1 version was screenshotted using the gpubladesoft GPU plugin for ePSXe at 640x480, making the two look almost exactly the same, allowing us to look strictly at the tracks' details. -Suicide Swamp- PC PS1 As you can see, the PC version lacks a LOT of detail. In the PC version, all the background trees and bushes are gone and the fence has been replaced by a simple track boundary thingy. -Blackwater Falls- PC PS1 Again, the PC version lacks the background tree and the background bush thingy above the checkpoint, which is 2D compared to the 3D PS1 checkpoint. PC PS1 Again, missing bushes on the isle of the PC version and if you look closely, you can clearly see that the PS1 version actually has a much wider field of view compared to the PC version. PC PS1 PC version is missing a few trees again. Conclusion: A huge chunk of detail has been removed from the PC version and its FOV has been reduced for unknown reasons.

Frame rate, but trust me, Your playing it on a emulator. The graphics are a lot less clear on a original playstation. That's the point I was getting across.

Moved your post here to keep the match Making forum about match making.
And yeah, I'm aware. It's just the point of the matter.

After playing these games side by side for the Iron man challenge it's simple.
Higher FPS = Better reaction time + Higher speeds.
I said it once before PC is basically jet Moto's CE edition. And the AI isn't tuned for it either.o
Grapples were coded and made to be used at lower speeds, that's why they react differently in PC, basically you are pulling so hard against the magnetic force with the added speed it would be like boosting in PSX and expecting the grapple to work.

Yeah, but you can go way faster on certain tracks on the PS1 version and the bikes are also way easier to handle imo, but if you can manage to do this on the PC version, go ahead, I'd be interested to see it.

PC version is way easier to handle. Bomber feels a lot less taxing and almost a cake walk to handle. Yeah there's some points where your going so fast it really causes some issues, but nothing different than some of the oddities you experience with Jet Moto 2:CE.
