Hey guys I was looking around youtube today and I found two strange videos. I think they might be beta footage. They feature tracks Aftershock & Hot Shot. Note that the bikes are JM1 bikes. Also Aftershock looks a lot different. Also notice that the bikes ride a lot like JM1, if not the same.

Looks beta for sure....totally rad. I would have preferred JM1 bikes to be honest. That's beacause I'm biased to JM1 though. ;D

I preferred JM1 bike designs too, especially the heavy designs, but the physics for the sequel are a must IMO.

Here is a new video I found that shows the demo of Jet Moto 2. We get a peek of the controller layout screen and a older menu sound. The sand was also a different color/texture.

I want to see one with the terrain as wire frames. That would be wicked.

Lol!, about the two first jet moto 2 video, its clearly two same bike got from jet moto 1. For the third one, look at the map's different color, it show you the track's terrain type. Also, the track's named VOLCANO. I already play this demo.

The loading screen map also has the description from Suicide Swamp, with Lava flows? on the end.

The menu sound is pretty cool in the 3rd vid. I also notice that the rider pics are zoomed out slightly compared to the final version, where it's up close on the rider's face (No life, much?). The loading screen map with different textures and terrain types would have been a nice feature. Not to mention that they didn't have the bend near the 2nd suicide turn added yet, and the bend before the lava flows seems slightly straightened than it is now.
Lava flows? Time? PRESSURE! Yeah, nvm.

Yeah. I found it odd that the track layout screen was so inaccurate to the actual track.

What you got is not even alpha. It's literally JM1 with JM2 tracks inserted into the rom and only the speedometer is different. What I got however, is Beta. It's not a video, but pictures from the back of my JM1 GH manual. Slickrock Gorge : Beta|Final As you can see, the textures are so different it seems like this isn't Slickrock Gorge and rather a generic Canyon track. Also, the map is a placeholder and not the real map, but considering in most games they take maps from tracks already made, why doesn't this one match any track?. It can be also seen in the Ka-Ma-Te picture. Also, you and the AIs aren't shown on the map. Starting with the hud, the arrow is red and seems to be always pointing in the direction you have to go instead of just when you are in the wrong direction. The speedometer's design resembles JM1's design more than JM2's. There are no grapple-o-meter wich means you got infinite like in JM3 and the boost is just 4 shots like in JM1. Now for the track, the textures are darker and completely different than the final game's. The riders got weird colored bikes and suits, which were most likely there before they made the choice as to which brand would be in the game and which rider would get which one. The holes in the ground with swampy water are just a single bumps and there are no trees on the right side of the map. The walls are more square shaped than in the final game and got a rough dark rock texture instead of a light smooth rock texture in the final game. The textures got a lower resolution. Ka-Ma-Te : Beta|Final The hud is identical to the one in the previous picture but the speedometer got a blue tint. Now the track is a little different. The walls got mossy a low res canyon texture and the pillars are straight. Hot Shot : Beta|Final This picture seems to be took in a more recent version of the game. The map now represents the track and there are riders on it. The speedometer and the map got a blue tint to its sides. The textures are almost identical to the final game's. The only differences are that the ground has a more yellow tint and the sky is less colorful.

It would be hard to believe a large credited site like IGN would put up fake ROM videos.
