It took me a couple races too, but by the time I played it I was already skilled enough to defeat the comps. Last summer I could beat it without falling.
Nightmare wasn't nearly as difficult, since by the time I unlocked it I pretty much knew my bike inside and out. Of course, unlike JM1, the fall detection on that map is placed much lower, so falling eats up nearly half a minute of time.
It's a good thing JM2 has an air brake.

That fall detection in Nightmare is annoying. It basically taught me NOT to fall EVER. Still I can do well nowadays even with falling.
How about Ka-Ma-Te fellas? I can run it decently but I barely win. That has to be JM2's hardest track.

Ka-Ma-Te can be annoying when there are people around you. Thats my biggest issue with that track..Oh and well the bridge over the bottomless pit. I have trouble hitting that sometimes. Mostly when I have a AI bumping me in the side.

Well I ride JM2 on Insane level, and I can't seem to be able to win Ka-ma-te either. But what's worse is that I can win Mach Schnell, The Shaft, Nebulous on that levels, yet I have a hard time winning Arctic Blast, Aftershock, Hot Shot, Meltdown and Slickrock Gorge, tracks that are easy to win on other levels. Rollercide can either go ok or really bad, the loop part can be a killer.

Just to ask, who here has Championship Edition?

I have the original. I just played Championship edition today. Big difference in the speed. I played both on the level After Shock. Odd thing is, After Shock is missing the bridge supports in the Championship edition.

I've seen vids of the CE, and I've noticed a few differences from the original
- The Shaft: The metal beams are basically straight and leveled in the CE, while the original had them crooked. - Aftershock: The support beams as Ermac said. - Meltdown: Fewer palm trees
That's all I can come up with off the top of my head.

Just to ask, who here has Championship Edition? I have CE. I enjoy the speed but there are times it gets a bit out of control. However it's still manageable and I have gotten a perfect season on Insane mode and I have the medal to prove it.

Do you mean the beams in the short tunnel right before the starting line? They are crooked in my copy of CE.

Which bridge? The fragmented one or the forked one?

Which bridge? The fragmented one or the forked one? The fragmented one, which is metal. The one that splits is the wooden bridge.

A bit off topic... I played JM2 today as Bomber and I finished full season. I got the all 3 weight classes medal. I didn't realize I never completed it with a heavy bike. I'm close to completing it with every bike. Oh and man Bomber ain't easy.

In fact, trying to jump from one point to another at the same level is harder then jumping from a high point of an angled platform to a low point of another.

It took a lot to beat it with her.
