that means your probability to win is 50% higher? You could say that, to me the game isn't even a challenge, master difficulty is way too easy, and there's only six riders so i kind of feel like it's incomplete with some riders missing

I know I'm gonna get beat up for this, but this is my least favorite of the 3 games. Mostly because of the difficulty. After lots of practice, I can beat 1 and 3 like a pro. This game hands me my butt on a silver platter every time I play it. Also, I didn't like that 2 started the trend that 3 continued, which was having such a small roster. I mean we went from 20, to 11, to 12. Well I don't know, but I find that the original Jet Moto is harder than the 2. The controls are so much better on the 2 that it makes it easier for me. I've completed the whole game with all the trophies (except for that Indomitable Spirit Pin ;( ). I like Jet Moto 2 and Jet Moto 3 as they offer different gameplay style, but that they are as funny to play. I think Jet Moto 1 is more of a Jet Moto 2 beta, since the difficulty, the graphics and the controls are enhanced in the 2, and that you can still play the first game's tracks by beating master season with each and every riders. Once you've unlocked all the tracks and earned all the trophies, Jet Moto 2 is an enhanced version of Jet Moto 1 only with all these better things and 10 new tracks. I understand that you find Jet Moto 2 harder though, because if you played less of one game and more of an other, the game you played the most will usually be the one you're the best at.

the game for me in title screen is "jet rider II" I have both roms from Jet Moto 2 and Jet Rider 2, and I can tell you that on ePSXe, Jet Moto 2 has a better framerate (no, this is not CE).

To me, it wasn't about the controls. I had an easy enough time handling the bikes in both games. I felt the tracks/levels were a lot harder to master in the second. Also, with the way the computer opponents were handled, one false step and you're in dead-last place with barely any hope of catching a break.
There were a few courses that I could nail every single time, 1st place with no other racer around me for miles. But a lot of those tracks were just murder for me.
That being said, JM3, even though the controls took some serious getting used to, was the easiest of all 3 games. Once I got a handle on the controls, and after 1 or 2 runs through a track, I could nail 1st place every time.

Yep, JM3 is the easiest of the 3. Jet Moto 2 has a restart option in the pause menu, but not Jet Moto 1, I think they figured out people would restart a lot LOL!

Jet Moto 2 was one of the hardest games I have ever played, yet it always seemed to be one of my favorites. The roster of characters were outstanding (so were the artwork). Yeah, loved this game.

So did I, even today I have to practice half a day before fully regaining my skills and even then, I can't beat all tracks at Master difficulty without restarting a few times. Though some tracks (like Nebulous) are outstandingly easy, some other (like Slickrock Gorge) are really, really difficult. To give you an idea of what it's like, I can finish first easily with The Max at Insane difficulty in Nebulous but I gotta restart a few times in Slickrock Gorge before I win.

You even got the big old CRT! I used to have one huge CRT, the quality of the image and the colors were AMAZING when playing PS1 games, but it broke down eventually and it doesn't work anymore. :/
