The JM2 thing intrigues me. It may have been a test texture, but I still think it dosen't fit lol, wtf.

well they did say they wanted to make a sequel more in sync with part 2 so i guess maybe that's why it's randomly in there?

Yeah, they may have used it for comparaison in a test level to see if the bikes were similar.

Nice find. The advertisement and the "Coming out 2000" were probably for a demo build.

Nice find. The advertisement and the "Coming out 2000" were probably for a demo build. That's what I thought too. The advertisement that shows the different features of the game may have been also for a demo. At least they didn't make one. It would have suck a lot more if a demo would have come out but not the entire game! Notice also that in the build we have, there is only 8 racers. The 8 remaining one may be the unlockable characters like Jed Moto. However, none of these secret characters are in the game we got, since they're not in the textures file.

Jed Moto sounds like a foobar-esque name, given that Jed is a character from the Beverly Hillbillies and everyone's bio is just the words from the intro theme.

WAIT! They are in the textures files! I haven't noticed, they're just variations of the regular character! Actually, if you start a race, for example Atlantis II, you will see right at the start a variation of dancer and a vaiation of brainiac!

I trust you'll find a way to incorporate them in, yeah?

Maybe using a gameshark code. I'm not good at gamesharking though, but figuring out the value that changes when selecting a character, we could change it to the value of the secret character.

Hey! You know about the textures glitching up in stunt mode and 2 players mode? Well it dosen't happen on a real console! It is just a glitch of the emulator, not of the game.

Mine doesn't work on a Playstation nor a PS2. Gets to the track loading screen and craps out there.

Are you swap discing or mod chipping? I use the fat PS2, and I swap. There is no mod or special swap cd though, I just took off the top of the PS2 and I swap a real PS1 game for a copied one in the browser, I just start the PS2 without a cd in the cd drive, and I go to the PS2 browser. Then I open the cd platform, and put in a real PS1 disc. When it's loaded, a black cd icon appears, I swap the game for 2124 and select the icon. The game works better on a real console since there's no texture popping/disappearing at all in stunt or 2 player mode.

Not if you have a disc swapper to bypass ps2 copywrite. With psone games it seems to work different though. Mod chipping just makes it easier to play imports and burnt disc without the need to disc swap.
