well more good news, i figured out how to color comics- the way to do it is with colored ink and water- that's the short version of the answer haha i still need to practice the method more but the good thing is i finally got the "look" i was looking for which is largely based off of jet moto of course! so i tried visualizing walking into a store that sells games and finding a copy of Jet Moto Galaxy on the wall of new ps1 releases and I Saw Black yeah the Logo was that jet moto 2 logo shaded black with 3 racers fighting for first head on with white water splashing like the first one with a white background like 90's squaresoft -- yeah i just couldn't think of an appropriate background for the Sapphire logo it could be done but i think it'll just have to wait for another day. so i'm first going to do the cover in colored pencil and if i like the way it comes out and feel it's appropriate for a jet moto vibe then i'll leave it as is but if i don't then i'll see what it looks like in comic style and then in that case the logo will be in solid black ink like jet moto 1 but the green and blue swipes will also be black without that black line border around the whole thing, it'll look as if floating in white if that makes sense so yep that's what i got ah kinda like the ps3 twisted metal cover is what it's probably gonna resemble That sounds nice! If you decide to go all out on your drawings, you could scan them at a high resolution and depending on how it turns out, I could even use the very scans itself to put in the game!

Alright. So I've been watching a ton of UE4 tutorials and I tried myself to go into the editor itself and play around a bit (at a whopping 10 FPS, lol). Apparently, from what I've seen at least, Unity's UI is more complicated and harder to get around. I don't know why, but the UE4 UI is just better for me and I can organize and find my stuff more easily. That, and the importing of textures is easy as hell, and it's also easy as hell to get beautiful reflections and lighting everywhere on the objects. I think I'm gonna like working in there more than Unity, and the nodes seem way easier to learn than a whole coding language!

I've been designing a couple of tracks for JMG recently, and since I've got a 750 Ti, I'd really like to start working on JMG again. I might try to make a track in UE4 and then figure out the physics from there! X)

I've started using Unreal Engine's terrain tool to make the tracks, but there's a problem. The smoothing tool is broken, it just tries to bring the terrain to a flat surface. In Blender, I could just use the smoothing tool to make a smooth curve in a turn (ex.: Slickrock Gorge's turning side ramps), but in UE4 it's impossible.

dang that's a bit of a letdown, can you at least do hills? but like you said the terrain goes straight to flat, hmm so there's no way to elevate the floor, because if you can than you could come up with a substitute right?
if it's like i think it is-- then is the side ramp just gonna look like the surface of a tekken 2 character all square like, if so you could figure out how to make it look plausible like glasslike like plates or something or even better marble tiles-- just use your creativity if it's at all possible

I got to make it kinda work by modifying the Detail Smoothing Value, but it's still nowhere as good as in Blender. I also tested out some physics, none of them seem to work for Jet Moto. For example, one of them acts like a car, so when you fall off something, your vehicle rotates and does half a front flip, landing you upside-down. It's tough as fuck figuring out anything in UE4 and Unity. Both have the same physics problems.

You need someone who knows the math behind physics to get the results you desire. They come with predefined physics but they can be modified if you know how.
This is why it takes a army of coders to make a game usually, one specializes in physics, one on the game engine itself and another on AI and path finding. In bigger games you have teams devoted to such and this is why it is a huge marvel when one or two people put out a fully functional game.

Too bad I don't know anyone :/, but can still make tracks for now and hope for the future.

Well i think i finally really this time cracked the code, looks like i am gonna be able to pull off the comic book art for Galaxy
I just use stonehenge paper, sketch it in pencil, go over it with a quill, dilute the ink with water and use it like watercolor, colored pencil and q-tip to smooth over, then to smooth out the black lines go over them with a black colored pencil, it comes out looking really Nice
some trial and error to finally get there but i did it now i just need to study some more anatomy, colore theory and machines and we'er good to go!
