on the vocano one make sure to go from Right to Left on the Circular turn you'll see it's faster for the beach side i also go from Right to Left. and for Aftershock going into the city from the bottom- just let go of (x) at the right time. And Here is another very important tip that i'll say again- Press up on the arrows(D-pad) to keep the nose of the Bike down on the straight ground it'll help you accelerate and go faster

i press up the arrow only when i fly? or during the race too oh and another huge thing about getting a fast time is that you should alway stick to the ground as much as you can- think about it when your in the air your just floating up there wasting time when you could be on the ground racing. Also press square in the air to fall down quicker and. and to Answer your question Yes press up to keep your bikes nose down when racing on the flat grounds. it may seem at first your going slow but your not. Also here's a tip on hotshot- when you reach the Ponds(you know the whole giant area of water you fall on) just keep on pressing up you'll get through it faster

Any checkpoint that is on a hill in the CE version. Enough said. So true. As I progressed through the game I'd say Rollercide was the most constant pain in the ass going over the hills trying not to hit my head. Also, coming back over the bridge on the shaft, you can get air off the last platform and hit the checkpoint if you're not careful. Toxik mentioned Aftershock, another pain in the ass for sure.

Oh! Forgot Ice Crusher on JM1. Speed is paramount here, but there are several checkpoints you can smash your head on if you're not careful. Oh and Snow Blind. Holy crap Snow Blind for sure! There's a moment heading into the swooping wide turn that if you don't adjust from your air you will hit that thing at max speed (got real close to that on my record vid - www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9HeS_Lg4gw&feature=plcp - at 0:38).

For me:
JM1 - Blackwater Falls - Dam I could never figure out where exactly to slow down, whether to go on the spillways or not, and every time I think I have it figured out, *clotheslined*.
JM2 - Aftershock - Beginning of the City area OR Mach Schnell - Finish Line These two are both for the same reason. I don't get clotheslined by many of the checkpoints all that often on JM2 (even though I play on CE), but these both slow me down so much[/b]. There's always a nice little incline that basically kills my momentum and launches me vertically and it's the most annoying thing.
JM3 - Volcano Island - Volcanic crater (2nd turnaround) OR Krap Yks - After the crossover Volcano Island's is basically a tradeoff between a decent speed route on the leadup to the crater with a large steel support beam that's nearly impossible to dodge sticking up right in front of your best line, or a roundabout route that would kill a time trial time, if the former didn't with an impact. Krap Yks' checkpoint after the crossover is also kind of annoying simply because, unless you have lots of air beforehand or have really good hopping reflexes, you will blow up your bike.

Krap Yks' checkpoint after the crossover is also kind of annoying simply because, unless you have lots of air beforehand or have really good hopping reflexes, you will blow up your bike. Oh, yeah. Volcano Island's checkpoint can be easily passed. You see, contrary to Jet Moto 2, going in the air in Jet Moto 3 is almost always the fastest and most useful way of going around the track. Just before you get to the crater, there is a place on the right on which you can ride on. If you continue to follow it and boost, you can take off on a jump and landing over the annoying checkpoint. If you do land in the crater though, you can just try to take the checkpoint from a certain angle and get passed it. I wanna make videos to help you guys out, I'll make a full playthrough when I get my new computer (which will have 16 GBs of ram, a 8 core 4.0GHz processor and a GTX 980 in it). Krap Yks' checkpoint is easy. You just gotta remember it's there and boost-hop through it. You'll even land a few platforms away from it. Though I did have some difficulty getting past it when I pick up the game after several days/weeks of not playing it, because I don't remember it.

Rollercide, Blackwater Falls, Aftershock... yeah, just the ones that stand up at inclines. They ruin your momentum and speed. I can get past them well enough, but I like being able to speed through every one.
