thebestblogever-adonael.blogspot.com/Lets hear some of your opinions on this. Do you think Jet Moto is fitting for a Ps3 game? Why , why not? Don't care if you NEVER played the game before in your life. I'd like to hear your opinion too. (kinda funny saying that on Jet Moto central. Ah well.)

I see where you're speaking from, I really do, but honestly...you know it would not be a pretty result if it were to happen. When they laid Gex to rest after the 3rd game, it was for good reasons; to not taint the series any further than 3 had taken it from the original. Take a look at where Crash Bandicoot and Spyro are today...you wouldn't even recognize them because they tried bringing them to the "next gen", and botched them beyond belief. Look what they've done to games like Jak and Daxter, Sly Cooper, and Ty the Tasmanian Tiger....ruined completely by their 3rd installments (well, Sly was still very playable but Sly 3 SUCKED compared to 1-2). Kenny Rogers, of all people, said it best of all with The Gambler "You've got to know when to hold 'em Know when to fold 'em Know when to walk away Know when to run" If they had kept making games in the series....it would crumble to shambles of it's former self. I personally think we should let Jet Moto rest in peace and enjoy it as it was. IMO.

*Writes lengthy comment. Scumbag browser mistakes backspace for going back a page. Somehow loses message. Poster weeps* I'll come back with that comment. But mostly it revolved around the wimp's defense. "I BELIEVE BOTH SIDES HAVE VALID POINTS." Something like that.

Waiting on it . I posted this around on serveral forums, not alot of people responded. the few that did were either iffy or had good memories of jet moto so its about 50/50 I'd say for most peoples opinion on this. Too bad this community didn't come around during the 90's

Sorry about that. I was too busy playing outside in the 90s. And I dunno what happened after that. Something called a computer I think. I would like to see JM on PS3. I saw the success TM had with the new games and I wish the same for JM. We all have our opinions of the new TM games, mine is that I think they were fantastic. Also I have this gut feeling that if JM got a crew that is faithful to the original, like from the guys in Lightbox Interactive and Eat Sleep Play, we could see a darn good game.

I really have my hopes up for a new JM. =]
I think that JM really deserves a new installment. But there are always odds that it becomes a great game or a deception.
And after seeing how they revived WarHawk and then Twisted Metal, I think there WILL be a new Jet Moto, sooner or later. And both of these new titles look good, though I haven't played them yet (I wish I had a PS3 :[ ), so I presume that a new JM would be great, as long as it is done by the guys who made the original two JMs (EatSleepPlay or Lightbox, that are composed by ex-SingleTrac-members), as CaMacKid said.
They need to capture the original feeling of the game, while updating graphics, controls and these things, not trying to implement too much things. For example, the original soundtracks were awesome, and they should make a new one, but with the same style and feel. Another thing that I think that should be keeped, not only in a new JM but in other games too, is the offline multiplayer. Playing with a "physical friend", and not through the internet, makes things more fun, and that's what a game must be about: FUN.
