I've always been a big fan of legos and I was wondering if anyone else here was. I recently got back into collecting legos. (Yes, I'm a 22 year old man who likes legos. So sue me.) My favorite set was the old BIONICLE Toa Mata collection. In memory of those old sets I recently bought the successors to the BIONICLE line, Hero Factory. In my opinion they are not near as cool, nor does the story reach the magnitude of the BIONICLE fiction. The Hero Factory line does have some interesting designs though. I'll give a brief history over my a favorite brand of legos. The first Lego Technic "Action figure" sets released were the Slizers/Throwbots. These figures were focused on the feature of having a disc throwing arm and one other weapon, or in some cases, two disc throwing arms. The main collection focus was on the disc the robots threw. Slizers/Throwbots were short lived in the year 1999, being replaced by Roboriders in the latter half of 1999. These Robots focused on Motorcycle designs and the main collection focus was the wheels. This series was soon replaced by BIONICLE, the most successful Technic "Action figure" line. BIONICLE was met with a full blown story, comics movies and Etc. This series ran for nearly a decade before Lego decided to move on to Hero Factory . I've basically owned at least 1 character from each line. My favorite theme being between BIONICLE (obviously) and Slizers. Anyways, Has anyone else owned any of these or want to discuss legos in general? Post away! This really was just a half-ass rant about nostalgic value from me again.

I have the full first gen Bionicle line, and bits and pieces of the other gens. Those first ones were the coolest imo.

I had one Bionicle and two Throwbots. I think they are all scattered in my old Lego bin. Man those things were my childhood. Another piece of nostalgia that I don't know if you guys were into... Legobots. www.geocities.com/area51/station/3260/index-2.htm#topThis guy made awesome transformers style robots and had a cool story for it. I used to always try to make my own Legobots. I never had money to buy a whole lot of the technic sets but with the ones I did have I played with them so much. Oh and I used to be subbed tot he Lego Magazine and I remember getting the first 6 Bionicle comics, then for some reason I didn't renew my subcription. I still have them. Anyone know about the music that was made for Bionicle? I'll go more into it later when I'm at work. I just got home from morning class and I'm a little tired. Jesus man STOP MAKING ME SO DAMN NOSTALGIC.

This guy: Back then I didn't even know these guys had a story. I just thought they were awesome. I had one Bionicle and two Throwbots. I think they are all scattered in my old Lego bin. I never saw Legobots before, but they look pretty awesome. I had all the first gen Bionicles and a few throwbots, but they all fell victim to getting tossed in the trash by my parents when we moved. I recently bought Amazon/Jungle The throwbot for the jungle region and my favorite throwbot. Also bought Kopaka.

For Throwbots I had Torch and I don't remember the name of the ice one. I think it was Glacier. Anyways it was white and had skis. For Bionicle I had Tahu.

Damn, how did I miss that old thread? I've always been a huge fan of legos, ESPECIALLY BIONICLES. They even had comics to read about their story in the Lego magazines, I used to have them all, but they kinda got destroyed by moving a thousand times and gettings rekt by animals. I still have to this day a huge box full of BIONICLE pieces. I never really kept the BIONICLES together. I usually took them apart after a couple of days and made my own BIONICLES with the many pieces I had. Good times.
