Hey peoples, I recently got back into Jet Moto 2 CE. I played it growing up and even through high school on my PSP. I should be posting some crazy times with videos if all my plans succeed and I have the motivation. I signed up here today due to a race time on Nightmare (3 laps) of 2:58.7 with Steele which I figured must have been good enough for the interwebs! No proof, but I'll be recording if I get close again/beat it. Thanks!

Hey, hi there! Welcome to Jet Moto Central! You're serious? You can get some good times on JM2? YOU CAN BEAT BEAR? If you beat his Slickrock Gorge record, you'll be a god to me. I tried entire days to beat it without ever coming close!

Edit : Oh, you were talking about CE! XD Yeah, JM2 CE isn't a very popular game to get records on, Bear didn't touch it, so the times are probably beatable.

Hello! Yeah I grew up with CE. Other iterations feel weeeiird to play after so long. Anyway, do you guys have CE in the records as "Greatest Hits Version"? If so, I think I'll do pretty well in regards to what's there xD If there are videos of some of the normal JM2 records I'd love to see the level of play there and check if my skills are up to snuff, comparatively!

Yeah, I grew up with CE too, only, I got robbed when I was 7 (I had over a hundred PS1 games) and I had to re-buy all my stuff. My mom bought me JM3 on Ebay with the Official Strategy Guide, then later when I moved, I got JM2. But you know, funny thing is, at that point, I didn't even know a version other than CE even existed, so when I booted up the game and found all the tracks locked, I realized that it was probably the original, I then practiced over and over until I could beat it.

Yes, the "Greatest Hits Edition" is Jet Moto 2 CE's alternate title. If you wanna see videos of the original JM2 Black Label, there are plenty in the pages of the World Records. By the way, the reason why JM2 feels weird compared to JM2 CE is because the original runs at 20 FPS and JM2 CE runs at 30FPS, but they also gave all the characters a stat boost that makes them faster than freaking Enigma, they can all accelerate in a fraction of a second AND stay at top speed forever without the boost.

Here's a funny fact : JM2 CE was made by a developer (Brian Wiklem) for fun, and then when he saw it was so awesome to play, he decided to give it away as the Greatest Hits version, but the people at SCEA said he had to hand over a copy of the original. The developer decided to say "fuck it" and sent the Championship Edition anyway, and funny enough, it got distributed by error.

Hi, go for it man! if ya ever give jm2 black a chance you'll have hours of entertainment pumping up your skills, if ya feel down don't 'cause it really is possible to get better and remember use The index finger to turbo, let go of (x) at the right times to slow down just right without hittin' the breaks, and hold the up directional down on straightaways on solid surfaces, i've been lying dormant for a long time but i will make a return one day
