Anyone know if there was ever a playable copy of this? Notice the stone platform at the bottom of the waterfall and the penants on the checkpoint sign in Blackwater Falls.....the size of the platforms in Nightmare...and the design of Willpower....WOW!

The music sounds a lot slower. Huh. I've never heard of this. Looks cool.

It's either a playable demo or a video on one of the old PS1 demo CDs that used to come with new systems.

It's either a playable demo or a video on one of the old PS1 demo CDs that used to come with new systems. Well yeah, i knew it was one of the 2....i just was wondering if anyone had ever actually played this beta. It would be killer to try it, no?

It would be neat to try, I agree, but all I'm really thinking when I see that video is: 'Thank god that was only the beta. They made the final release so much better!'

I had this on Interactive Demo CD #3. It was only a video, but it was enough to convince me to get it.

It would be killer to try this either way. I wish they would have had a playable demo, I'd be playing the hell out of it (it would be holy after I'm done) .

Yea, this was a trailer movie I saw from a demo disc that came with the Playstation when I first got it. It very well looks like an alpha build of the game.

I believe it was that tie-dye looking demo disk. I always was interested in that demo video though. I always thought it was cool. When I got the actual game I was a little confused at first because the characters and the bikes looked so different.
Didn't we have a discussion about this somewhere else on the forum also?

Pretty sure we had just not exactly sure where that was. I actually saw this after I played JM2 which was literally my first ps game so my first thought was " so that's what the first one looked like". I haven't even seen the real JM1 until I bought it on PSN.

Yeah, we did talk about it before.
Anyway, this version doesn't seem to be that different from JM1. If the first JM was cancelled at the same point as 2124, this is probably what we would uncover.

I'd have to say 2124 might of been a little further considering it doesn't use place holder graphics for the characters. Then again you look at the Jetmoto 1 video and it looks more functional, but that could be th case of them only showing you sections.
In the game process it usually goes
1.Game engine 2.Place holders 3.Testing the Engine with said place holders Repeat step 1 and 3 Once game nears completion you start to implement the real graphics then one final bit of testing and tweaking before the game comes out.
Thats just the jest of it. Theres a few more things I left out like planing and designing.
