When combining the hard control with a course like Skypark... Dude! I LOVE Skypark! Honestly, one of my favorite tracks. Took like 3 or so tries to get used to it, just like all the courses of the JM games, but afterwards I could torch that track. First place without fail.

Okay, how about some of the poor design choices they made when designing Urban Subway?
It's a Suicide Track, without the suicide. Half of the course is traveling through those 3 narrow corridors which don't count as suicide turns, and the part where you have to climb up the stairs sucks, because if you miss them (very likely with the ridiculous speed) then you have to turn around and try to get on them again.
Or how about Machu Piccu? Out of all the youtube videos I've seen, no one has been able to get in 1st.

Well, I thought the narrow streets where you go in the opposite direction as your opponents and the 2 points where those corridors converge, plus that loop at the end, made it count as a Suicide track. I've hit other racers in that level. Also, the smaller number of racers makes it harder to hit anyone. If it had 20 like the first game, it'd be more apparent. And if I could figure out how to post videos of my run-throughs, you'd see someone get 1st place on Machu Pichu. With the exception of Planet X, I can get 1st place on practically every track.

Reviving a thread here....but about the skipping of checkpoints : I've managed to do it in Nightmare plenty of times by accident. It's quite difficult...but some parts done at turbo speed...it triggers a glitch and you can miss a checkpoint at (what I've found) at least 3 different places in the track. (Can make a video if anyone is really curious and wants to see it.) AS for JM3....I played it long ago with a neighbor in 1999 when it came out...(keep in mind I myself was constantly still playing JM1 and a little bit of JM2). I thought the physics were WAY overdone...i have the ORIGINAL #1 and #2....and i gotta say...that speed in JM3 is just unbearable, it's too much. It's like when Sega stated "blast processing" for Sonic and the Genesis...well speed worked on Sonic...but not so much with JM3. I felt like i was turboing constantly...and it just seemed...well it felt more like I was playing a circuit-bent Hydro Thunder (which is a kickass game by the way), but a lot less enjoyable. I DO enjoy JM3...just nothing like i do with JM1 and even JM2 (which is great too, but i prefer JM1). To be honest, i don't even own JM3, and don't have too much desire to go out and grab it. I'll admit...some of the tracks are AWESOME! (Skypark fav track on there..just difficult). Devils Canyon is cool as hell too, i loved it. One thing i truly agree with some of you on is that they REALLY went overboard with the freedom though....sometimes i didn't know where the hell i was even going, and found myself lost, which should NEVER happen in a racing game (that's more adventure/RPG type problems.) I mean yeah, sometimes you get flipped around by accident in JM1 and JM2, but you know where you're going, the tracks were ergonomically designed for the consumer. That was not so much the case for me in JM3...it just felt like a hybrid of Hydro Thunder and Need for Speed. It's a cool game, and has it's place in history for sure...I just think more could have gone into this game for sure...to me it seemed very rushed...only 1 year after JM2..and apparently you guys say 2124 fixed this....would love to try it so i could agree/disagree. End Rant

the only good thing really was the improvement of the graphics but i wouldn't sacrifice that for the fun the first 2 had

Or the lack of racers.
Although JM2CE had only 4, it was still more playable and smoother.

The game i most loved in the jet moto serie (1, 2 and 3 not 2124) is the jet moto 3 because this game are very hard and very funny. I say that because i have it and the controls are awesomes, the hop control are very hard to master but once you master it, you say: i believe, i can fly! lol The best track are Sky Park because th jumps and the shortcuts you can do in this track are awesome! In the begining demo, the characters and bike graphics are... Incredible! If you get angry because Planet X are to hard, master it and you will love it. Watch my video of Sky Park, im pretty good huh... link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjNOvXFoDhA

You're not bad....but do keep in mind...i beat your time without honestly trying too hard at all, I think i only took like 2-3 takes tops. I didn't beat it by much, but it's still a record, if you'd challenge it you'd keep me busy.

Start Jet Moto up. Use Captain Ballad. Go Fast. Win.
Reverse pyramid on how to beat Jet Moto 3.

I still say JM3 kicks ass. All 3 games in the series have their flaws. I still absolutely adore JM3. And always will. I grew up on JM1 and love it to death. And while I've played JM2, I have very little love for that game. JM3 will always be my favorite.

I like JM3's style most of all. I thought the open ended-ness of the tracks actually worked with the jet bikes. Especially when you combined grapple points with turbo-ing to psudo-fly around. The music is pretty....hit and miss with me. The music it'self is awesome(Juno Reactor is my king!) but some of the songs seem a bit too...calm to be in a Jet Moto game. In addition to that, the switch from a rock powered soundtrack to a techno powered soundtrack was kind of jarring to me, and I LOVE techno! I absolutely LOVE the designs for the bikes in this game, too. Back when I played it as a kid, I didn't think twice about how fast it was, but looking at it now, I can't help but thing "Slow the fuck down!" It literally like the game is perpetually in fast motion or something...

Also, I dont like how they made the bikes and characters so small in this game, you can barely see them.

That's probably related to their transition to larger tracks.
One thing I disliked was the apparent lack of quality level design. Several of the tracks involve hugging a wall right next to a cliff to prevent flying off, tiny bumps send the riders skywards, and not to mention Redwood Forest is almost unplayable at those speeds.

I began playing this again, and one thing that I noticed in the game is that the turning speed between the bike on the ground and in the air is too large.
One second you try to make an adjustment by turning the bike, and then one small bump later you swing your bike 90 degrees and throws off your steering. I don't know if it's just me, but that's been bugging me.
