Strange... I have a 2002 PS2 and it doesn't do that. And you have the original cardboard long-box Twisted Metal 1? That's the original Nov. 1995 release version. Anything else is later.

Oh, I thought it was the PS2's fault, not the game itself being glitched.

Lol, I always thought it was strange that they made cardboard long-box versions, then went to plastic thin mint versions.

The plastic ones are WAY better, but the originals came in cardboard.

I agree about the plastics, but the original cardboard ones seemed cooler, IMO. Decisions, decisions... Meh, if it saves space, it's worth Jack's time (or something like that). (64th post, WOOT! )

I got my PS1 in 1997, so I never heard of them being so cheap like that.

YEAH, COLLECTING... yeah, idk, lol. My friend has the original cardboard version of Metal Gear Solid, but I figured that was some sort of rare exclusive thing. Then I see images of the Twisted Metal 1 cardboard box, which looked noticeably longer in length, and I'm like, "...Cool." Hopefully I might find some games in that style if I ever go searching for good ol' games soon.

My friend has the original cardboard version of Metal Gear Solid, but I figured that was some sort of rare exclusive thing. There is no cardboard long-box of Metal Gear Solid....that game came out in 1998. By 1997 they had done away with long-boxes completely, and pretty much after 1996 they were all plastic longboxes. Basically only the PS1 launch titles and some 1995 and early 1996 games got cardboard boxes, the rest were plastic longboxes after that, and soon became all jewel cases. Whatever your friend has...it's not what he's saying it is lol. www.game-rave.com/psx/playstation_perfect_guide/long_box/index.htm

Well, he did get it as a trilogy with the 2nd and 3rd game. I wonder why it looked like that then... meh, it doesn't matter to me. Besides, he lost that copy somehow and is still looking for it.
Funny thing how we're completely off-topic, going from how difficult it is to get 1st with Dakota owning Cliffdiver to our audio problems to the casings that PS1 games had. Since we are, has anyone ever heard of "Party like it's 1904"? Pretty funny for a song. I heard it came on the Counter Strike disc (if you look through it's files). I'm bored, so I'll say a few random things from the Dungeon Runners commercials: It's hot outside, my feet hurt... *epic echoing voice* AND I'M THIRSTY! DUNGEON DUNGEON DUNGEON RUNNERS RUNNERS RUNNERS!!

hi all..I'm new here ,just joined and I'm proud to be one of the people here. I also had so much problems winning this one...it's almost impossible (i'm playing a medium level) and the best place I ever was is actually 4 or 5.

Welcome elad! And I know what you mean about Cliffdiver. It should be a black diamond course, imho, but I guess there aren't enough potentially fatal drops. Snowblind isn't nearly as difficult though.
I think the trick on Cliffdiver is to watch your speed; It's easy to go too fast on those narrow, twisting dirt trails. Also, you have to use the sharp turn shoulder buttons some of the time instead of relying completely on the tractor beam, otherwise you'll end up pointed at the sky and you'll have zero momentum exiting turns. There's no getting around it though, you need some seriously honed Moto skills in order to succeed on cliffdiver.
