I just noticed something today. You know Shirow (lady in my avatar, durr) right. Well I think she is a reference to Ghost In The Shell. If you don't know about GITS. It's an anime about a cyborg named Motoko Kusanagi. Anyway the creator of GITS is named Masamune Shirow. Mr. Shirow's most famous char is a cyborg. Shirow the JM char is half cyborg (cybernetic limbs). Seems like a solid reference to me. Kinda awesome for me because Shirow is my favorite bike and GITS is my favorite anime.
In light of this, anyone else can think of other references with the other characters?

Thats interesting. I know Rhino and Harris were based off of developers, but thats all I have off the top of my head.

LOLOLOLOL
As a member of the latin world yes I know who that man is.
GITS IS AMAZING. Totally worth watching. You can watch the first two movies or you can watch the 2 seasons of the TV series. There is no real need to watch any of it in order except for the movie based on the TV series called Solid State Society. Watch that AFTER the series. You might enjoy the series more because it's got lots of action (but also well written) but the movies are rather mind-fucky (especally the 2nd movie, I haven't seen it yet though lololol but its rep is out there).

Playing jet moto on a original PlayStation with a original controller feels so much better. I don't know if its a mental thing or not and well my pc controller blows.

Playing jet moto on a original PlayStation with a original controller feels so much better. I don't know if its a mental thing or not and well my pc controller blows. I always play on an emulator, but I use a DS2 controller (basically a better built version of the DS1, feels much better) that I plug into my PC with an adapter. I tried using the DS4, which is amazingly comfortable, but it seems to have input lag, even when wired. I find the DS2 to be the most responsive controller, and I play on PC simply to get better graphics (1920x1080, 5 xBRZ texture filter) and a true 16:9 aspect ratio (hack in PCSX-R, gives a true 16:9 aspect ratio, expanding the FOV). Also, my TV has so much input lag and framerate drops that it's literally useless for competitive play (I can't even get 1st place all the time on Machu Picchu in JM3 on Expert difficulty). I highly recommend you pick up an adapter and use a DS2 controller on an emulator (much better graphics, prettier to look at than the PS1's 320x240).

I'm digging the classic graphics honestly. It's not a real big issue for me.

with the analog joysticks or without? I actually always wondered, does anyone play any Jet Moto game with joysticks? Because I find it completely unplayable without a proper D-Pad, which has always been more precise and faster to use than an analog stick to me.

No haha the joystick is ridiculous in a jet moto game!
Yeah same here, i've had the first generation ps1 controller given to me by my cousin and it still feels kinda new i haven't even broken it in yet the buttons are pretty solid, i've had that controller for about 10 years now and he got it like at the time of the release of the all mighty Playstion
