Lol, I recently had more ideas for this kind of thread, so I decided to make more.
Today's matchup, Joyride against Slickrock Gorge. Here, you decide which you prefer as a starting track, whether it's based on difficulty, how it fits in practice mode/training, or just how fun it can be.
I would choose Slickrock Gorge. The terrain elevation is varied, and the style of the path that your on changes once in a while, from simple turns to a small split in the road, to a tunnel, to a water stream. This variation is what makes me reccomend it.

Slickrock Gorge. Because Joyride was pretty boring the first time I played, and only got more boring as the years go on.

Slickrock. Joyride was always a pain to me, due to being relatively long and lacking variation.

I guess I'll be the minority....Joyride. I just liked it much better, and the nostalgia it holds for me can't be topped by Slickrock Gorge.

Joyride definitely, iconic JM track. Although I'll give you guys that SG is a lot harder to master.

Joyride. It's an easy track to relax and play once you have the waves down. I enjoy this track a lot more that slick rock. A lot of memories there. Slick rock is good too. More complex in the term of layout and that useless shortcut thing.

While Slickrock had some neat features like the shortcut and the hidden art, I have to go with Joyride. It's the first track I ever raced on, probably the track I've raced on the most. The layout is aesthetically pleasing, the music was arguably the best track in the entire series, and it was just plain more fun to race on.

I much prefer Slickrock. Joyride can be challenging if you're trying to break records with stunt mode on, but other than that it's just a little too chill I think. Slickrock isn't the craziest course but trying to get every turn just right is a tough challenge. I've definitely run this track more than any other for that reason. And, to disagree with slashsword, I think Slick has the best soundtrack in the series. The guitar is much more my style.

Slickrock is so fun to me. Joyride feels like it takes forever, but it's still fun because of the jumps.

Slickrock Gorge is a perfect introduction to a game, an easy track that isn't boring and becomes the hardest as the difficulty goes up! As perfect as JM3's Devil's Canyon which was clearly inspired by Slickrock.
