Hey guys I wanna fill up the page for Jet Moto on the TV Tropes website. If you don't know what TV Tropes is it is basically a big collection of the tricks of the trade for writing fiction. It's explained on the homepage tvtropes.org tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/JetMotoSo yea I see this being filled with stuff like Nintendo Hard, Platform Hell, Fake Difficulty, etc. Jet Moto is even mentioned on these pages lol. I'll discuss more tomorrow but yea if you guys want you can take a crack at it now.

TVTropes!? I've been lurking there for YEARS! I could list off some tropes, though I can't put them in myself(I never bothered to learn how...) I'm listing these as I come up with them, not in any particular order.
Green Hill Zone: Green Circle stages in general count as this with Lost City, Slickrock Gorge and Joyride being the greenest of the green tracks. The beach themed level set from the first game count as this and...
Palmtree Panic: Meltdown also counts.
Hailfire Peaks: Meltdown and (Whatever that volcano level from JM3 was) Are Palmtree Panic combined with Lethal Lava Land, with Meltdown also being a Green Hill Zone.
Technicolor Battlefield: Planet X.
Slippy Slidey Ice World: All the games have at least one.
Down The Drain: Catacombs from the third game.
Temple Of Doom: Machu Pichu and Uhcip Uhcam
Sdrawkcab Name: Machu Pichu and Skypark show up again as Uhcip Uhcam and Krapyks
First Installment Weirdness: The first Jet Moto limited your turbo to about five quick bursts. The games that follow would all use a turbo gauge.
Loads And Loads Of Characters: This series as a lot of characters to pick from, but the first Jet Moto stands out.
The Ace: The Max
The Mario: The Max and Vampira(If I remember correctly)
Circus Of Fear: Rollercide from JM2
Crowning Music Of Awesome: All the games have these. Your Millage May Vary.
Autobots Rock Out: The only kind of music you came across in the first game.
Convection Schmonvection: The only penalty for riding over lava in Meltdown is that it will nudge you along the flow a bit.
Underground Level: Show up frequently enough.
Growing The Beard: With Jet Moto 2
Sequel Displacement: Who besides the diehard fans remembers the original Jet Moto that well?
Even Better Sequel: Jet Moto 2 is seen as this.
Contested Sequel: Jet Moto 3 is seen as this.
Love It Or Hate It: Jet Moto 3.
The Scrappy: Jet Moto 3.
Executive Meddling: Jet Moto 3's ludicrous speed is said to have come from executives ratcheting up the top speed on the bikes.
I'll post up more if I think of them.

Cool man I lurk there too. I like to look for JM references on there.
Shouldn't be too hard to fill it up. I've edited wikis before and even composed my own once. Here is some tropes I thought off.
Rocket Ride - Jet Moto bikes are essentially crotch rockets.
Franchise Killer - Jet Moto 3 sold poorly, and as a result a 4th sequel was canceled.
Nintendo Hard - Large numbers of ruthless opponents, lots of sharp turns, Marathon Levels, Bottomless Pits everywhere, etc., not to mention a lot of confusing course designs that usually takes a few laps to get a handle on.
Fake Difficulty - Jet Moto was a very glitchy game at times. Often one would race off a ramp and find themselves tripped up for no clear reason. As a result, players would find themselves back in last place almost instantly.
Platform Hell - Especially in Jet Moto 2. Many tracks require you to jump from platform to platform while avoiding to fall off to a bottomless pit. Not to mention avoiding getting clotheslined by checkpoints.
The Computer Is a Cheating Bastard - (I have nothing yet for this. But we all know the AI rubberbands in JM2 and often the AI seems to get off the starting line much quicker than you.)
Rubber Band AI - Jet Moto 2 has this.
Wrench Wench - Bomber
Idiosyncratic Difficulty Levels -
1. Amateur 2. Intermediate 3. Professional 4. Master 5. Insane (only JM2)
Fragile Speedster - Wild Ride, Li'l Dave
Spell My Name with a "The" - The Max, The Hun
Product Placement - DERP
Twenty Minutes into the Future - The entire Jet Moto universe. Hover bikes but LA is still a mess? Might be bordering into dystopia. There must be more research into this. I mean a world where LA suffers a massive earthquake and it seems no one wants to clean up? A worldwide sport which involves dangerous high speed hoverbikes racing in dangerous environments? No sign of any anti-JM groups.
Applied Phlebotinum - The Jet Moto bikes aren't exactly possible.
To Hell And Back - Nebulous
Cool Bike - Jet Motos

Here are some I thought of!
Eternal Engine: Nightmare has hints of this.
Crowning Moment Of Funny: The first time you go flying off Night mare and fall....and fall...and fall...and fall...and fall...and keep falling.
Overly Long Gag: See Crowning Moment Of Funny. If you fall off Nightmare, your pretty much never going to catch up.
Vaporware: At least two sequels were in production, but thanks to Jet Moto 3's poor sales, they were canceled.
Cut and Paste Enviorments: The first installment of Jet Moto had three beach themed stages, three swamp themed stages and three snow themed stages. And Nightmare(This would be highlighted as "And Zoidberg").
Scenery Porn: These games looked pretty beautiful for their time.
You Don't Look Like You: The returning characters in the canceled Jet Moto.

Okay this is good. Now we need a introduction. It's got to summarize Jet Moto in at least 2 paragraphs. I'm a not too confident in my writing abilities but I'll try.
I know there is always a quote that describes the game in some way. It can be from a commercial or something.

We can all it give it a go and create a Frankenstein of sentences for an introduction. Here's my best effort:
Jet Moto is a racing video game series spanning 3 games that was developed for the Sony Playstation in the late 90s. Racers use a diverse array of hover bikes varying in mass, maneuverability, lift, and acceleration to compete against each other at high speeds over a variety of race courses that are intricately linked to their environmental settings. The complexity of successful strategies is increased by the inclusion of limited turbo boosts and magnetic poles at sharp turns to which the rider may 'grapple' while turning in order to slingshot around the corner. Many of the courses themselves present a significant challenge as well, requiring racers to navigate across bottomless pits on awkwardly placed platforms, monitor speed at jumps to avoid overshooting the landing, and slip through groups of oncoming racers to get to the next checkpoint (these are called suicide tracks).
Competitions are organized as single race events, multi-race championships, and solo practice.
Jet Moto is notable for is overt use of product placement, simulating the wash of posters and billboards plastered all over everything at major racing competitions in real life.
That's all I've got for now. I'll check back in a bit if i have more to add.

I added Ninetails' tropes. Still not done.
If you want to work on it. You just click edit to do so. To add tropes you must put an "*" behind it. Also to make it a link you can't have any spaces. Like so...
* GreenHillZone - Blah blah blah * NintendoHard - Blah blah blah
That is what I know how to do so far.

You forgot to add that it needs Wiki Magic.

[Double Post. Get over it.]
I finally got into actually editing trope pages, so I decided to help out the trope page.
Updates 1. I fixed all the trope links 2. I added the rest of the tropes we listed 3. I made some slight alterations to the trope descriptions here and there. 4. I added that the page needed some Wiki Magic.
Enjoy!
