Hi there.
As we already know, after Twisted Metal 2 and Jet Moto 2, these series became 989 Studios' productions, instead of SingleTrac's. But then, SingleTrac used their Twisted Metal engine in Rogue Trip, what makes me think that Rogue Trip is what SingleTrac planned for TM3. Critical Depth may be related with the original "flying car combat" concept planned for the original TM.
But I've played a SingleTrac game called Streak: Hoverboard Racing. I didn't expect it, but this game utterly resembles Jet Moto's gameplay. Could Streak be what they planned for Jet Moto 3 (but reused with another concept)?
What do you guys think?

I already did a review of it, but to recap my thoughts on the game:
IT IS SH*T!

i need to try it out it seems they tried to create something as cool as jet moto but i don't think it really made a mark i still need to get my hands on Critical Depth though, so I'm definitely getting that i think it may be the last single trac game i get in a long time because it seems to be the last worthwhile game of single trac i need to get.(they definitely got it right with Jet Moto,Twisted Metal, and Warhawk) so i'm really looking forward to Critical Depth. now that you mention Rogue trip vacation i remember seeing the intro movie of that game somewhere like in a demo disc or as a preview in another game but i dont remember where, i just looked it up on youtube and completely forgot about that intro i don't really like that weird midget and the weird world it really turned me off as a kid even today i'm really reluctant to getting it-it looks like it's in really bad taste. so my question to anyone is, does anybody know where the preview of Rogue trip may have been shown? for some reason i just want to remember. I think it may have been in Duke Nukem time to kill but i could be way off i don't own that game anymore and it's been like over 10 years.

toxik87, yeah, it sure was in Duke Nukem: Time to Kill. You could access the video using a code or holding down a button while watching the intro, or something like that. DN:TtK was also published by GT, just like the other newer SingleTrac games. brutalknuckles, yeah it sure isn't as awesome as Jet Moto, but it's still kinda good. But I am used to appreciate not only good games, but the bad ones too, so I may be wrong, LOL. And there are two other SingleTrac games. One is called "Animorphs: Shattered Reality", a platformer based on a series of books. It doesn't look so good IMO. The other is the PC shooter "OutWars", which seems to be a good game. Then, they formed other game studios called Incognito and Eat Sleep Play, the ones which made TM Small Brawl; the PS2, PSP and PS3 TMs and WarHawk; the TM-like-fighting-game "War of the Monsters"; a mountain bike game "Downhill Domination"; and the PSN car-combat game called "Calling All Cars". There is also the new LightBox Interactive, making "StarHawk". I really hope these guys make a new Jet Moto after StarHawk. Or at least LuxoFlux should make a real Vigilante 8 sequel. For real, just like JM and V8, many other old awesome games are needing new installments IMO, like Legacy of Kain, Snatcher, Policenauts, etc.

LOL, maybe that's why it's called Rogue Trip... =) It got a really weird background story and design... But it feels just like Twisted Metal when you're playing it... watch some gameplay videos on YouTube, you may change your mind about not getting it... =)
---
Something I noticed while playing Streak was a misspelled track name... "Agua Escondido" should be "Aguas Escondidas", which means "Hidden Waters" in portuguese...

Oh yeah, my spanish isn't as good as my english, so I didn't notice that it was identical in both português and español languages... =) It happens sometimes, because those are two latin-based languages.

Never noticed that. Probably 'cause portuguese is my native language, and I am not much used to the french language (I hear it only in few occasions, for example, when my brother plays his french copy of Pro Evolution Soccer 6, altough we don't understand anything in the game XD).

Cool, here where I live I only speak portuguese. The people here don't speak english, or at least don't learn it correctly (they don't strive for it anyway). Currently, the only place where I really speak english is here, at the Jet Moto Central =).
Portuguese flows differently depending of the location. Brazillian portuguese sounds really different from the portuguese portuguese (just like the difference between USA and UK). For me, it takes some time to get used to a portuguese person talking, and understand it.

lol mateus I like more br portuguese because you use less words br=champion using less words and looks less concerned about the way the words sound mateus seriously do you have difficulties understanding pt portuguese ? we use atleast 95% the same words. and some words we know but we barely use them. and you also have some words that we already removed them many years ago, like train i think we have some br tv shows here at night.

@claudio, I've problems just when I'm hearing someone talking, and it's like one or two seconds. The accent is really different, so it takes me this time to begin understanding what the person is saying. IMO, it is the opposite. I think that in english, you often need less words to complete a sentence. Portuguese has a sh*tload of variations of words and other things that make it more complex. But it's my native language anyway, so it's the one I use the most.

Personally I enjoyed Streak a whole lot. Wasn't as well put-together of a product as Jet Moto, but was still a pretty sick game in and of itself. Aesthetically it just seemed a more "street" oriented--but I could still see it all going on in the same universe.
