How many of us here play PC games or Console games? (And which consoles,, Please name them old or new)
Favorite genre of game? (Fps, Rpg 2d side scrolling, etc.)
What was your favorite feature implemented into a game?
What are a few of your favorite games?
Are you curious as to why I'm asking you all of this?
Good.

1. I've played a fair number of PC games over the years but there is no trend. All kinda random. As for consoles I have a Gamecube, PS1, PS2, PSP, Gameboy (Color & Advance). I don't have any current consoles due to lack of monies (that is probably gonna change real soon). On the subject of older consoles my brother has a NES, Atari 2600, and a Genesis put away. I've been bugging him recently to lend me the Genesis but I get nothin! >P 2. Hard to say, depends on the game. I like too many. I like to think it's because I want to have variety in my selections. I've played RTS, FPS, Racing, Sports, MMOs, list goes on. 3. If I'm interpreting the question right... I have to say I like the pitching and batting system in MVP Baseball by EA Sports. Takes a lot of the guesswork out of it and emulates the action quite well. One more... In general I've always liked the Create-a-wrestler option in wrestling games. Love getting creative and when I got into eWrestling (basically wrestling fan-fiction) for a while the videogames became a launching pad for ideas. 4. Jet Moto (derp), MVP Baseball 2005 (greatest baseball game ever), Twisted Metal, Freelancer (great story imo), WWE Day of Reckoning 1, Armored Core, Pokemon GSC, Quake 3, Minecraft, Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2, A few right? I'll list no more. (oh and see what I mean by random) 5. I dunno, not enough questions.

1. Almost always console (fav to least fav: Gamecube, PS1, 360, NES, Xbox, PS2), and handhelds (GBA SP, GBC, GB, DS) but a little computer (only the Myst series, tho.)
2. I like first person adventures, rpg, and platformers.
3. Maps. Everyone loves maps.
4. All-time top 5: 1. Metroid Prime, 2. Fallout 3, 3. Dr. Mario, 4. Riven: the Sequel to Myst, 5. Super Smash Bros Melee.
5. Because you have a fetish for KNOWLEDGE!?

3. Open world games. I'm a free range gamer.
4. Oblivion, Command and Conquer, GTA: Vice City, Gran Turismo 3+4, Jet Moto, Super Smash Brothers, Pokemon: Red.

1. Consoles are my thing. PS1 (played on PS2) will forever be my favorite, but I also regularly play my Sega CDX and Turbografx-16 as well. Those are my main three, but I also have: NES, SNES, N64, Sega 32X, Dreamcast, Xbox, and a few more I'd have to dig out. For handhelds I've got GBC, GBA, GBA SP, DS Lite, and my favorite handheld; N-Gage (both models). 2.Very hard to pick just 1 genre...I love games from all over the board. From Crash Bandicoto, Spyro, and Gex for platformers, to The Legend of Dragoon for RPG's, to Jet Moto for racing games...hard to pick just 1. 3.I'd have to give this one the pure innovation of suspense that Resident Evil brought to us. There had NEVER been anything like it before, and when is the last time you honestly played a game that was THAT revolutionary? I haven't since. 4. I mentioned some above, but: Gex, Crash, Spyro, Jet Moto, The Legend of Dragoon, Lords of Thunder, Twisted Metal. My all time top 3 are (in no order): -The Legend of Dragoon -Lords of Thunder -Jet Moto 5. Nah, it's basic info...why be curious.

Trade info! 1. I play anything that can play games, from arcade cabinets to the little watch games from the 80's. I own a ps 1, ps 2,ps 3, xbox ,xbox 360, SNES, Game Cube, PC , Dream Cast. I feel like I'm forgetting one though. Hand helds: Psp DS Gameboy color/Advanced SP and a old mega man hand held game. 2. Any really. Lately I've been on a bit of a FPS hit but I love all games as long as the gameplay is there. 3. Favorite feature would probably be create-a-character in games and customization. I love the idea of putting my own personality into a game. 4. This would be a really long list but I'll give a few examples. lets see, JetMoto, Forsaken, UT 99, Tribes, Crash Bandicoot, Tekken, Armored core, Metal Warriors (snes), Grand Turismo, Forza, Destruction derby, Flatout, Resident evil, tomb raider, Rouge trip, Vigilante 8 2nd offense, Twisted metal, way of the samurai, Bust-a-move, Morrowind, Dues Ex, Minecraft, Little big planet, and so much more. 5. No, because I know why I'm asking myself. 2 new questions: Whats your thoughts on the Play, Create, Share Genre? (ie Little Big Planet, Mod Nation racers, Sorta Minecraft.) How does crafting and building structures in Minecraft feel to you and what attracts you to it? If you don't play it, does this type of game and game features interest you? Why or why not? I'll let you guys know why in a bit. For right now I'll just tell you it's because you guys are friends and it's free to ask you questions.

6. No haha. That's my thoughts, No.
7. Again, NOPE. I love simplicity at it's finest. It's too complex for me to just simply sit down and enjoy it, that's really it.

6. I love good user created content (my favorite being stuff for Trackmania Nations), but there is too much garbage to sift through.
7. I've been meaning to try Minecraft, but just haven't gotten around to it. Seems like a cool concept.

6. I love them. When you get involved with a group of people it's easy to get lost in the magic of creating stuff. It's perfect for kids to get into also.
7. When you have dozens of thoughts and ideas in your mind and a game like this that makes it easy to create you can't help but enjoy it.
Speaking of games that allow creativity. I'm waiting for a indie game called Pro Wrestling X. Ugh I'll never leave that game alone (unless it flops... I hope not). Creating my own wrestling organization... original characters... moves... drool...

I'm waiting for a indie game called Pro Wrestling X. Ugh I'll never leave that game alone (unless it flops... I hope not). Creating my own wrestling organization... original characters... moves... drool... Sounds like a game I could get into. Another info trade and new questions. 5. I think the Play, Create, Share Genre is great, but I believe so much more could be done with these titles. 6. I love the idea of gathering resources and making things in your game world. Gives you a sense of accomplishment, but like the latter, I think a lot more could be done with this type of game. New Questions: Do dark and gritty atmospheres in games appeal to you? (Meaning it fits the game.) Would you be interested in a more Adult Themed game? (Nothing sexual to those who might take that out of context.) What are your feelings on Abstract games? (Sort of like minecraft, where your dropped in a world without an absolute direction.) Do you think 2D side scrolling is still a legit genre of game, If the gameplay is there?

Well honestly they haven't promised any of what I mentioned but the modding community will (which is what the developers hope will happen).
-Like em when it fits of course. But I think like most people for me the gameplay comes first,
-Like drug story-lines and philosophical stuff? If it's a good game. Never really got into that stuff though. So such a game wouldn't grab me by that alone.
-Always fun.
-Sure. I think the latest Sonic game seems to have done well with it. I heard that a Super Mario DS game did really well and people praised it for being a good side scroller. I think these days it's harder to have those games sell. Personally I see side scrollers as handheld games. I guess when it comes to a console game I like em 3D.

8. Only in the games with a "dark" storyline. (Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen is a perfect example, maybe Bloodrayne, etc) 9. Again, the Legacy of Kain series always did it for me. The first Blood Omen is one of the best "M" games I've played to date, along with THE best voice acting in any game I've ever heard. Otherwise, like drugs and crap....nah you can keep that. 10. It depends....Tomb Raider liked to do it a lot, and they were good games. Notice I said WERE. 11. I'm a biased opinion to this question, but to me they've always been just as good as 3D. I personally would take Gex over Gex 2-3 anyday, for the pure fact alone that it's 2D an an overall much harder/better game. Wild Woody for Sega CD is another. There's tons of them, just gotta know what's good at what ain't. 2D shooters are also WAY better than 3D shooters in my opinion, no matter what the situation.

Info trade again! 1. Yes. I like Dark atmospheres if it fits the over all view of the game. 2. I like it when a game shows its more than for kids by handling situations kids might not under stand like topics like War, Psychological well being, Etc. (Something like Metal Gear or Max Pain.) 3.Abstract can be good if done right. There is a such thing as being too abstract. I believe you at least have some sort of thing to sort of give the player a grasp of what he/she is in for rather than just starting a game with out an intro or some sort of explanation. Minecraft being my only exception to this rule. 4. I love 2D side scrolling games. One of my all time favorite games for the SNES, Metal Warriors, is a side scrolling shooter. My recent discovery of Cybornator (Somewhat technical prequel Metal Warriors) has me playing side scrollers for most of my free time. Last few questions. What do you prefer more, 3D Graphics or 2D pixel Graphics? What looks more artistic to you 2D or 3D? Would a 2D side scroller with multiple game play options interest you? (ie: A level thats 2d fighting like Streets of Rage, With a level thats like Metal Warriors to something of a level akin to Gradius.) What do you enjoy more Creative games or 2d Side Scrollers? (I can guess Mcniggleston's answer for this one ) Do you enjoy Co-op more,Competitive multiplayer, Free form multiplayer (ie, Can choose to help or kill a player on the fly, aka kinda like minecraft.) or Single player?
