What's your favorite in the original trilogys? Mine is hands-down Crash Bandicoot, the original. The hardest, and best in the series in my personal opinion.

I don't have alot of experience with Crash games so it's original Spyro for me.
I have one gem left. ONE FRIGGIN GEM. It's those damn flying levels that kill me.

Talking about Warped? Yep....I hate those levels, which is why 3 is my least favorite of the original trilogy by far. 1 and 2 are great...A+, but 3 is like B-/C+ to me.

I can say that I've beaten all 3 Crash games, and I'll say that they were trying to keep Crash fresh with Warped with all the jetski, airplane, etc. levels. But I must say that the first one was my least favorite, not because of the difficulty, but because of the save system. When you have to go to the secret level to save along with the difficulty of the game....no thanks.
Going to Spyro, I've gotten 100% on the first two, and am just stuck on the third which is because I haven't been really in the mood to finish the game with other stuff going on. But I've been really enjoying 3, which again with the Crash argument, kind of keeping it fresh with secret levels with different characters, which I like.
All in all, I've enjoyed both trilogies from Insomniac. It's too bad that they gave them away to different producers.

I would have to go with Spyro. Crash was awesome, but Spyro had Stewart Copeland.

Me too, brutha. 100%, 100%, and 104% on Warped (would be 105% if i got the rest of Gold Relics) as well as 100%, 100%, 100% on Spyro 1-3 (3 is the worst by far). As far as saving goes in Crash 1, i never had a big problem with it. The game itself is not very hard at all if you aren't trying to get the gems (I can beat it that way in under 1 hour), and the bonus levels don't count towards the box count like in the following games. -Tawna (normal) bonus levels are extremely easy and make for an easy save. -N. Brio Bonus levels are a total bitch....and are simply for extra lives....but I always end up with 99 by the end anyway. I've only managed to beat them all on my first try a few times for an extra (and un-needed honestly) save point. -Cortex Bonus levels are CRUCIAL for 100%, they're tough, but REALLY short and easy when you know how to do em. They grant you those 2 keys needed for Whole Hog and (ugh) Fumbling In The Dark. I can get these on my first try 99% of the time. You can save on the 4 occassions: -Tawna Bonus Levels (the easiest, a given) -N. Brio Bonus Levels (the hardest, get lucky haha) -Gem Saves (simply get a gem, difficulty varies by level) -Cortex Bonus Levels (Key saves, both not too hard) Now I'm sure you knew all that, I was just kinda saying it to say it. Crash 1 is the game to beat if you want IMO a "true gaming experience in platforming". Carry on, gentlemen.

Definately Spyro 3, with it's intriguing story line and cool side characters, with an enourmous world to explore, and an amazing gameplay and graphics experience!

I feel like dedicating a full day to playing Crash 1 one of these days. Well, I did that last December. It was fun, as I expected.
