I've made this post to showcase some ideas for video games I have come up with over the years, including art and any other extras I may have.
I'll open up with this first one, it's relevant to the site after all.
A few years back me and a few friends had the idea to make a game similar to JetMoto, but unique by it's own right.
The over all feel of the game was intended to be fast paced, but retain the feeling of "realistic" hover bike racing. An addition to the concept was to add weapons. Similar to something like Road Rash. Where characters use Pipes,Chains, and any other assortment of weapons.
Background:
In 2023 Earth suffered a second world war causing humanity to abandon their mother world. In 2251 a planet much like Earth is discovered and colonized. It didn't take long for people to begin squabbling over territory. Out of this conflict a country named Arum rose to power and soon would control all of Second Earth as the evil SEG...
That really doesn't have MUCH to do with the main plot of the game. It just gives a view of whats going on.
Much like JetMoto: Solar races would take place all over the galaxy . (At the time I didn't know about Solar or 2124.)
Story:
In 2342 Hover Bike racing has become a popular sport. Racers often winning fame and money, but there is also a dark side to this sport. SEG strictly regulates every race deciding on the outcome. This caused many racers to leave the league and start an illegal underground racing tournament.
Here are a few track ideas we come up with:
Abandon City: A city on earth. The character races through broken buildings, Streets littered with trash and crushed cars while dodging craters and jumping over huge sections of street that have collapsed.
Future City: Through this track you would race through the busy streets of a city on second earth. The player would have to be constantly aware do to hover cars and other vehicles populating the streets.
Desert: A race through the desert. The player would race over dunes and at one point race through a cave and a huge canyon.
(Not much to explain there.)
Pretty short explanation, but I always thought it was a cool idea. If I can find the folder with some of the art in it I'll post it up. No telling where the darn thing is though.
