My story of English language

Yeah as you may know me I'm Saudi guy, I learned a little bit English Language when I was kid
*possible when my age was 5-7*. In that time I watched american cartoons on Saudi TV Channel
Two *it's in English only*, and we all know that if you kid You will learn as quickly, so I love cartoons
In that time *just like the others kids* But even so I still learned less than 10%.
Then I've become 13 years old and I have Studied English Language in middle school *Teaching compulsory*.
Still learning the language continuously until I graduated from high school *I've learned almost 34%*.
When I was in my first year at university *become 18 years*, I studied English again *they teach us
From beginning Like A,B,C... and how to use the grammar etc*, after that I joined to Institute of Wall Street
For English *only 1 month course* My skills have improved more and more *you can say like 51% and
That's good on my opinion*.

So after all that I joined to you guy's *My original username was Emperor2w2e * and still sometimes
I feel like beginner And slow in writing *feel like boring guy? yes I now *, actually I was hesitant to
Join you really for that reason! but hope to be a good guy and good friend as well.

My English teacher of university *which teach me on the first semester* say that if I'm improved my skills
Not in my Country but outside like U.S-Canada-Australia... etc, it will be very good, because all people
There talking English, But I never go out -__-" cause don't have money.

I think you still got some learning to do, but I can't blame you for that since, well, I still got some to do too! XD So, you are pretty good in english! You're better than me when I joined in, so I guess people won't hate you because you make errors in your text LOL! Just go there and scroll down to see my old Jet Moto 4 ideas and you'll see what I mean by that! This old post looked right to me back then but GOSH it feels so awkward when I read it now! Well, I guess I'll post my own story of learning english :


I always lived in Québec, Canada, the only fully French province of the country. I always had a PS1, and since we had the US version of the games and console, we had it all in English. It was hard for us to understand what to do in games like Tomb Raider, because it was a very difficult game and we had to try to understand what to do. By playing games like Jet Moto, I learned what some words meant like "Start, resume, options, controller, back, next" and all different kind of words.

I was like that until the age of 7, when I finally got an internet connection (a slow one and a crappy computer, but still...) and went on the internet to find games. I got on a game called "Need for Madness?" that was basically a car racing/car wasting game.

At the age of 8-9, by looking over the internet, I found that the game could hacked and that if I was good enough, I could modify it to create my own cars and tracks! Everything everywhere was in English, so I had no choices but to try to understand and translate what I didn't understand from English to French. At this point, I got in contact with the NFM community and spoke with them.

At the age of 11, I was pretty good at English, now way better than my mom! I found out that a small community of Jet Moto fans had a forum called Jet Moto Central. I joined in (I had to put a false age because probards is 13+) and started to chat with people. In this age, I was like in the JM4 ideas post, I was able to communicate, even though it was a little bit messed up.

Here I am now, 14 years old, currently knowing a good base of English and talking to you guys like any other guy ! I still need to learn to properly SPEAK English (not just write) because my accent is too Québecish!

Oh yeah I forgot, this thread for who didn't talk English in good way *like me*, so we can sharing our story and how to

your so lucky on that *even your age is still small*, at least you living in a country that have two official languages.
As I'm living in my country we only have one official language that 90% talk on it, and there's minorities from Asia like:
Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Afghanistan... and some from Africa that they talk mother language *also they talk Arabic*.

Yeah, I'm lucky on that. Even though I live in a Province that is 100% french, I can easily travel to Ontario, it's just a couple of miles from my home. Just look, below is a screenshot of Google maps of where I live. You can see that I'm near Ontario and a couple of hours from the United States. The only thing that sucks is the freaking cold we got here.
