I started this thread in order to see what you guys got as a PC. You can post your specs and experience below. For the moment, I got two PCs. One of them is a 2003 DELL Desktop Computer (wich is the one I recorded my JM2124 track views on) that has a 3GHz processor, 1,50GBs of ram and a 128mb dedicated graphic card! Also, the graphic card is not that good so it ruins the decent specs of my computer and when I play Minecraft, the textures are glitched up and some pixels are missing, they have a single color when they are supposed to be different. The other is a 2003 Seanix Portable Computer (wich is the one I use to record my JMPC playthrough) and has a 1.7GHz or 1.8GHz (I don't remember) processor and 1GB of ram and a 128mb dedicated graphic card. Although the overall specs are lame compared to the DELL, the graphic card is way better wich makes it faster and look better when playing. The only problem is that this one can't run many things at the same time without lagging, so recording games with decent graphics becomes impossible without lagging alot! I bought a computer at bestbuy.ca a week ago that was the CyberpowerPC Gamer Ultra GUA250 and it had pretty good specs... It arrived and it had a defect, when I tried installing a driver it froze and then shut down and it broke... I was not able to turn it on anymore, the only light that was still on was the ethernet one at the back. I sent it back and surprisingly they paid the shipping! So it arrived yesterday but they said it would take 7-10 days after sending it before I'll get my money back. So right now I'm waiting to buy the CyberpowerPC Gamer Ultra GUA380 instead because they ran out of the other computer. It has an updated version of the graphic card and Windows 8 as additionnal features. I hope this one will work. Post your PC specs and experience below!

I have a PC that I built myself. It has an AMD FX8 8 core running at 3.10 GHz, 16 Gb ram, EVGA Geforce 660, and three hard drives. I use that as a combo recording and home theater PC.
I also have a HP Pavilion laptop I got a month ago. It has an Intel i3 at 2.40 GHz, 6 Gb ram, and a 750 Gb hard drive. I use it as a mess around PC. It can run Minecraft fullscreen at low graphics settings, so it is good enough.

That's a really good PC! And yeah, a laptop can play Minecraft decently... At low graphics. I have to get Optifine to remove the animations and the fog (wich is the most important thing to remove) and set it all to fast or low or none for it to run with no lag. Sometimes it just don't wanna play and lags like hell though!

Just bought the CyberpowerPC Gamer Ultra GUA380 online on bestbuy.ca because walmart.ca didn't work. It was stuck on a paying checkout and I just went on bestbuy, I had to pay 10$ more but I guess it's worth it. I hope this one won't be broken on arrival!

My desktop is the same case except white.
idk man. Generally I hear that one should steer clear of anything marketed as "gaming". Not trying to make you feel bad. Typically shouldn't be too much trouble. Just be wary. If you ever get interested, learn how to build a computer. It's very rewarding. I spent too much for mine but now I know what I can do better next time. There are lots of guides out there. Idk I prob could point you to something if ya like.

Yeah, well I know. It is a money trap. The thing is, I don't have the time needed to build my own nor the experience. Also, your PC must be awesome in white! Do you have the red lights as well or do you have them blue?

No lights. Maybe one day. I don't really look at my tower much so I don't have a need for it.
As for experience totally look around online. reddit.com/r/buildapc is where I started. Newegg has some great videos on their youtube page. I started from learning how to replace my power supply. One thing at a time.

Yeah, maybe one day. I will probably have to change my power supply and graphic card later though. I read that the graphics card in my new PC is crap. Well, the computer will arrive tomorrow, I hope it will be alright!

I second the NewEgg videos. That is what I used for learning how to build (I have also done my dad's computer and a friend's). It is really straight forward really.

Ok. I'll try that if the computer I bought is broken. It arrives today so, I'll see if it works! Hopefully it does!

I'm able to record Offensive Combat, my all-time favourite FPS with a decent framerate! I get around 30 FPS. Without recording I get 40-60! In Minecraft, I get 150-200 FPS steady while not recording with 32 Chunks/Extreme rendering and all graphics maxed out! No doubt I'll be able to record ePSXe with that!

An issue to look out for later down the road is your Graphics card fan. Mainly if its a Nivida.
On some cards years down the road the fan will quit spinning causing the card to overheat.
Its a easy fix though. Just remove the fan and put a dab of mineral oil on it and put it back in place and its good as new.
I've only had this issue once, but I figured I'd give a heads up.
