I've been working on my bike and I figured other people would like to post their "motos" be it motorized or not. I haven't been treating her right, since she was left with other people for a few months, but now I'm working on her to get her into premium shape. I plan on taking a couple day ride and if I do I need her to be in tip top shape. Chain took forever to remove the rust, but it was worth it. Never throw out parts that can be reused. The other chain is a spare in case the old one snaps. 6 hours in I'm still removing rust from every nook and cranny. I'm debating on repainting most of the parts and the bike to help stave off rust, but I don't know yet. It's lunch time.

Sorry for the late reply, I was busy all day. Anyway, here are some pics of my 1979 Kawasaki KS125/KE125 : I also have a video here : So, it isn't street legal and the engine heats up, causing it to malfunction after 5-10 minutes or so, but it's good for small rides in the trails. I still have a lot of fun on that bike. I also have a bicycle and I used to ride it everyday, but now I stopped for a while. Anyway, I might post pics of my bicycle later!

I love it though. I really like the look of it.
I went on a 10 mile ride with my bike all fixed up. The first few hills were a bitch, but once I got my bike going I loved every second of it. Just something soothing about going 30 miles an hour, possibly more on a pedal bike.
You really need some quick reflexes though. I had to dodge quite a few things on the back roads, such as sticks, loos gravel and small rocks. I'd hate to see the after math of hitting some loose gravel going that fast.

I'd hate to see the after math of hitting some loose gravel going that fast. Yeh, loose gravel can be devastating, I've known someone who bailed because of it, just not on a bicycle, on a motorcycle. Fortunately enough, he was going slow and he came out of it with minor injuries, but damn, it's so easy to slide on that! I see you too, have dirt road tires on your bike, I've found that it really helps with keeping the bike stable on sand and gravel. I personally have a 10 kilometers ride that goes from my house, into the village and after a few kilometers on a dirt road, it hits up the main road from which I then go back home. It forms a circular path, kinda like a race track (I'd ride the hell out of it with my motorcycle if it was street legal). I've been thinking about resuming my bicycle rides lately, sure, they're a bit tough when going uphill, but going downhill is so fun, especially considering you get used to climbing hills pretty fast.

I especially hate falling on a bicycle because it hurts like hell compared to on a motorcycle at the same speed. On a motorbike, you're all dressed up with protection gear (helmet, suit, gloves, boots), but on a bicycle, all you wear is at max a helmet if you don't wanna sweat like a fountain (which you'll probably do anyway), so when you slide and/or hit the ground, you're way more vulnerable.

Phew!the bike's ok- i'm just playing-damn that sounds vicious well guys i think i just re-fell in love with the col-erase color pencil line, with intensive research and development i think that's my go to pencil i get a cool classical look with it. it feels similar to a regular pencil and it feels like it drags just a little like a papermate pen ya guys know the feel right- yeah the actual color substance looks really waxy when sharpened like shavings of plastic and if you want more color intensity you have to color with a bit of a hard touch but it's the way i prefer it the last colored images you saw were made by using faber castell polychromos colored pencils with those i actually use this mineral spirit liquid from Gamblin and kinda wet the paper like a painting with a waterbrush you could use an acrylic paint brush too-to get full coverage of an area without breaking the tooth of the paper- interesting thing is that ink works really well with an acrylic paint brush more than with a Sable brush those are super flimsy and always seem to be the recommended brush for ink drawings but actually a regular acrylic paint brush holds better results- not the strawed kind the plastic fiber ones and they feel a little stiff but soft at the same time. you could do those cool flowing lines with more ease so yeah i didn't think i would write this much but i just did haha - so yeah this sure beats traditional painting! oh yeah now that i see that i have an example (it's my friggen profile pic haha) i just feel like i might have evolved a bit and prefer the more classical look like the renaissance pictures as my main source of influence, of course paired with my love for Jet Moto and Twisted Metal illustrations of Sal Velluto- so that's the direction i'm heading guys and that's what i wanna give your projects a cool classy old/modern mostly Old haha style yeah as you could see with this example this col-erase pencil achieves a more airbrush look too, i really dig this style it makes me think of resident evil for some reason you know 'cause of all the classical vibes that game gives from the architecture and music and what made me realize that this is definitely a viable style is by Yoshitaka Amano's cover of final fantasy origins- it's not like a duke nukem cover (which is badass don't get me wrong) but sophisticated through use of water color and pencil- heck i can achieve stuff like that just with colored pencil! i'll still do duke nukem stuff just not through acrylic paints i'm through with that headache, that medium is not even fun for me or gouache or watercolor- the color pencil Rules man Attachments:

Reviving a four years old thread, always a bittersweet pleasure. I'm glad to say this is positive though, lots of good stuff to talk about! I've acquired a bunch of motos in the past few years. Firstly, there's the 2011 CBR 125R, which I've mentioned earlier. It isn't in the best shape visually, I'll give you that, but functionally and mechanics-wise, it's in more than perfect condition (except the front forks, more on that later). Seriously, I take great care of my bikes, and this one is my daily driver, so it has to be reliable, which is why it always has to be in peak working condition. Nevermind the dirt, taped on stuff and broken bolt in the cockpit... I'll explain their stories soon. It's a 125cc four stroke engine, this bike's speedometer is, as with any motorcycle, very generous. Its real top speed, measured by GPS, is about 120KPH/75MPH in a straight line, 100-110KPH/62-68MPH in an upwards hill and 140KPH/86MPH in a downwards hill without taking wind into account, which does tend affect the top speed. The acceleration and top speed are, honestly, overkill for the low speed limits in Quebec, and the license plates for bigger bikes are stupid expensive, which is one of the reasons why I stick to this small wonder, the other reason being amazing fuel economy, ~$12 to ride 500 kilometers/310 miles. Its tires are a mismatch, front one being an almost brand new stock tire, rear one being a 'borrowed' Radial Michelin Pilot Street from my brother's bike. Usually I buy a matched pair of better tires, but money was an issue, I'm planning on changing these soon. The front fork shock seals are broken and leaking oil, but I ordered some brand new ones to replace them, as with the tires, money was an issue. It's dirty because I actually used to ride it in the trails a lot before I got my full license that actually allowed me to ride alone on the road and I haven't had the money to buy soap, etc to clean it, and time has been a bit short as well, it contributed to the messed up appearance. I Changed the front handlebars for lighter and more angular clip ons, which helps make it more comfortable and handle better when you're laying down on the tank. I also changed the big ass stick mirrors which destroyed the aerodynamics for small ones at the end of the handlebars, which actually gives a decent boost in power and top speed on this small bike, plus they look way better. I lowered the front suspension as well, which helps with everything mentioned above, but especially the handling, with the footrests being so low, this makes them be a bit higher and allow for tighter turns before they scrape on the pavement. Broken bolt is because of messing with installing aftermarket mirrors on there, the bolt got stripped in there and wouldn't unscrew, we took the buffer and managed something. Here's my mom's stock bike for comparison: Secondly, here's my most frustrating bike. A 1976 KE 175, which is a dual purpose motorcycle. It's in perfect condition apart from minor aesthetic issues, but since I don't have the papers, the stupid Quebecian government won't let me license it in any way (even though the 'innocent until proven guilty' principle should apply, and all they'd have to do would be search if it's been reported as stolen, which it hasn't, and let me register it, but nope, not in this dictatorship), so right now I put some old dirt bike wheels/tires on it and I ride it around my backyard in my homemade dirt bike track (if you wanna know if I illegally ride it in the trails or on the road, I'm afraid I can neither confirm nor deny.) Lastly, here's my other KE 175, which I picked up in Ontario a few years ago in non-working order. No papers either or anything, but the engine seems to be in very good condition and I'm currently working on disassembling it, cleaning it, repainting it (it was previously repainted with shitty matte blue paint) and then reassembling it and making it work with spare parts and riding the shit out of it as a straight up dirt bike! As a bonus, here's the old 1974 KS 125 I posted earlier, I traded it for the other 175 with my friend, and he switched the engine in there for a different one that works perfectly, now it's in working order, as a dirt bike with old, worn out dual purpose tires anyway! And here's the starting line we spray painted for the race track lol, and I do own the world record for that one too, out of three competitors, kinda like in Jet Moto, huh...

Thanks, they're relatively small bikes, but to be honest I really don't like the weight of the bigger ones and they're more expensive. Plus I can push those bikes further than a big one without losing my driver's license lmao
I recently ordered a higher aftermarket suspension for my KE175 and installed really good motocross tires on it, I'll post pics when it's done.
