I remember this. Xperia Play was cute but never worked out I don't think. Just did a quick look and I found no videos of the Xperia version of JM. Hmm.NVM, this? Seems like a rom than the game. Plus it's JM2. www.youtube.com/watch?v=F5Upm7PfLMo

Considering the lack of shoulder buttons I'm not sure how well it would play either. I can survive to a degree without lean, but without sharp turn it's asking to have a hard time.
Wish I could find a solid answer on this on the internet.

Seems like emulation. It's funny, because I'm probably gonna get a smart phone next month, first time in my life, I hate these things, but the functionality is just to appealing.
And yeah, it would probably be impossible to play with the touch screen. I'm getting a clip for my DS4 and I'll get an emulator installed on there, it'll basically turn my phone into a portable console lol

There are actual ps1 games on the Xperia. Only ones I can confirm are the ones that where released at launch: SCE Wild Arms RPG SCE Syphon Filter Shooter SCE MediEvil Adventure SCE Rally Cross Racing SCE Cool Boarders Sports SCE Destruction Derby Racing SCE Jumping Flash Platform I also don't know if the other Mobile games used the actual gamepad. Also has shoulder buttons. Edit: I've also found gameplay of wipeout on the Xperia. Which was mentioned in the first article I posted. And there's this: This is from the 2011 Tokyo gameshow Japanese Xperia line upIf it's true it might be interesting to get a hold of a Xperia and the Jet Moto.apk

Ohhh, that's nice! I know Asphalt 8 works with a gamepad, so there must be a bunch of mobile games out there that support it.

I have my Xperia play now I can gladly say I love the little thing, except the controller is a little small for my hands, but besides that you'll hear no complaints from me. Next step is installing a VPN to get access to the Japanese store, because Jet Moto was most possibly only released in that region.
WipEout on the other hand will be seeing a download from me as soon as I am back on Wifi. Once I buy an SD card for it I'll be looking to complete the Xperia Play exclusive library.
It's actually quite hard to find these games being 6 years old. Quite interesting.

Figured out today why you can't find US versions of the games. SCEA dropped the service in 2015. So the only way to get the games for Xperia is to download them from another country.
Funny enough, doing some exploring. The apk for the games are the original games packaged with a emulator to run it on android. So technically they are no different than running an ISO on Epsxe.
Someone has even written a program that can turn your ISOs into Xperia APKs using the emulator pulled from the original Crash Bandicoot.APK that came with the Xperia Play.
So all in all they are no different from their originals in format or content.
I'll be getting the original APKs for sure, but after that I may play around with turning some of the other Jet Motos into use able .APKS for the Xperia.
I highly doubt I could use them on other phones due to the fact they are used with the control pad, but I might experiment with loading it onto my Samsung.

That's nice, I just received my phone, I got a Huawei P10 and it runs ePSXe very well, 2 times overclocking or 2 times resolution and widescreen, I play JM3 at full speed, so other games would run even better. I use my DS4 over Bluetooth and I ordered a phone mount, it's gonna arrive tomorrow, so I'll update you guys on how it works!

I forgot to mention as well, the touch pad works as L2 and R2. After finding that out I tested the controls on epsxe.
While using it to quick adjust your lean is easy enough, I don't see a comfortable way to do a lean+sharp turn with this set up. Similar to the case when playing Jet Moto on a PSP, but having the game on the go in my opinion is a great merit.
And unlike Jet Moto 2, Sharp Turn + lean isn't as important in the first game so it's not a big detractor here.

Yeah, I tried playing Jet Moto 3 with only touch screen controls, it works fairly well, JM1, 2 and 2124 would be harder though. I received my DS4 mount, it works perfectly, it really is the definitive way to play Jet Moto on mobile.
