Depends on the game and the physics applied. Some games have a thing called a tire model that simulates tire grip/ware but that's mainly simulation standards not arcade games. That is why in a badly done game though cars don't touch the floor. Also if you used this technique it wouldn't feel like a hovering vehicle it would feel more like a road car. Which jetmoto uses pretty realistic motorcycle physics For the time.The problem is that we don't know how the old Jet Moto games' physics work. From what I've seen, JM2124 looks like it uses the 4 hover points physics, but use animations to hide it. Unless using only 2 hover points can work, I don't see how it would work. I'll try to use 2 hover points to see if it makes a difference.

I'm liking the effort you've put forth so far. UE4 is a powerful thing, and the track looks nice aside from some texture stretching- but that's little complaint. Props!

I'm liking the effort you've put forth so far. UE4 is a powerful thing, and the track looks nice aside from some texture stretching- but that's little complaint. Props! Yeah, the texture stretching on walls is something not only I have a problem with. Many other people in UE4 seems to have it as well. I might look into that later.

I've been working on JMG's physics, I'm getting something... Not a Jet Moto yet, but it's something. For once, I got the hovering to work. How? By replacing the "Add force to location" thing by the "Add pulse to location". Someone pointed out in the comments of a video that the "Add force to location" thingy was broken and didn't work, and it was the case.

Well, the physics already feel miles better than anything I've ever made before! It almost feels like Jet Moto, that might be because I got it to work with only 3 hover points in the middle compared to the 4 I had before, the only problem to get completely working rudimentary physics on the bike is that I need to make it pitch and yaw, but the way I'm doing it, it's basing the rotation of the bike on the direction the bike is pointing in the map instead of the bike itself. That means if I point my bike in a certain directions, the pitch will become the yaw and vice versa.

As soon as I get the pitch/yaw working, I'm gonna make a video and share the UE4 project for everyone to try out. As a heads up, the physics feel more like JM1 than anything at the moment.

Holy shit! I actually fixed the issue! The physics feel like Jet Moto! Sure, they're not complete, but they're the best physics I've ever made!

Well, I seem to have ran into yet another problem! No matter what I do, after a while, the "bike" will become increasingly hard to move and rotate as well as hovering closer and closer to the ground until it doesn't even hover anymore. If I wait long enough, it's so hard to make it move that it barely even does. It's like if the damping was being increased by a set amount every frame and becomes too big after a while. I'll try to fix that...
