It is a nice idea. =D Being able to change the textures and all is cool, but some of the changes you made look a bit messed up, like the sky in the ruins. It can get much better though. =]

I know, it was intentionnal (I can easily change it back to normal Sky Park's background), i was trying to get like a planet there (the sky in Sky Ruins). Its a little bit messed up, lol i know, its because, in reality, I take the textures of Machu Picchu for Sky Ruins, and Collumn Ruins. I take Shipwreck Cove's textures for Shipwreck Falls, and Volcano Island's texture for Moïse's Canyon. All effects of textures were done randomly. In some tracks, the textures wouldn't fit so the track never load, everything's black, or some textures's not filled so it make the game mess up and everything become weird (strips in the textures, or become red, blue, yellow etc..., and the effects become big squares).

Ah, yeah, you just swapped the tracks' textures... But that is really cool anyway, one can now make different textures for customizing the tracks, like making those higher detailed textures some people like to do with Nintendo 64 games. =]
------- Once I tried to put the "Star Wars Demolition" stages in "Vigilante 8 2nd Offense", but had no luck. Got to the loading screen of the stages and then the game would just crash. =/ I've also tried to separate a "Soul Reaver" demo from the "Akuji: the Heartless" CD. And then nothing but a black screen, LOL.

That's sweet! You think there would be any way to get the speed down to how they originally intended it? I know its far from doing texture edits lol. But for me that would be the holy grail regarding JM3 ;D

I've tried to download software to convert them but they are for mortal combat and an another game i dont remember, the .TXB files in jet moto 3 aren't the same as in these games. I'm gonna try to edit Jet Moto 2 too, just for fun, so stay tuned for updates! ;D

Ya know, just like some PC games that have all kinds of settings inside a text file (example: Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, in which some people modify a file to have ultra-fast cars). But I don't know if this is common in PS games. --- Hey, hey... while messing up with the game through the hex editor, I did this, haha: i50.tinypic.com/532t01.jpgi47.tinypic.com/sli9gl.jpgi48.tinypic.com/2wnmcue.jpgYeah, I had some free time, LOL.

It's called "WinHex", you can download it HERE. But you will need to buy it or to use a fake account to surpass some filesize limits of the free version, check out how to do this:

Hex editor? You can just download Notepad++ and download the hex editor plugin. You have to find it on the internet. Just google Hex editor for notepad++

Uh, that's weird, it was exactly what I did, and it still works nowadays... =/ For finding the game menu's texts search (ctrl+F) for any of these in uppercase (example: "THE MAX"). About the swapped bio image, I found some texts with image filenames, like "MaxBio" and "BombBio", and then swapped their names. Hex editor? You can just download Notepad++ and download the hex editor plugin. You have to find it on the internet. Just google Hex editor for notepad++ Hey, didn't know about that. Thanks, CMK. It will probably be really useful for my Policenauts translation project. =] EDIT: Nah, no luck, it can't open such a big file... =/ EDIT2: Ah yeah, I splitted the game in two .txt files with WinHEX, and now I can open it with Notepad++ =] Now I'll just delete anything unreadable from these files and then translate it.

Ok guys, just figured out a way to edit ALL the textures of the tracks and the bikes in Jet Moto 3, 2 and 1. I know how to extract them and edit them, so I can even make my own textures to put in the tracks and make my own Jet Moto 3 custom character with custom stats and textures. New update for Enigmod coming soon!

Renamed this thread to Modding Jet Moto 3 and deleted the Jet Moto 3 Origins thread. Other thread served it's purpose. This thread now accurately represents what it is about. All Jm3 modding goes in this thread.
